I recently gotta trojan and it’s starting to piss me off. I scanned my comp recently and I found W32.Virut!dam. My comp is still having problems and sends this stupid bubble telling me about the spy ware, trojans, and crap ask me to download special antispyware (Xp_Windows 2009 crap). I’ve tried updating my Symantec Antivirus definition haven’t updated since 2007 and it’s won’t update. So I’m pretty much stuck anyone think they can help? My comps a windows btw and I’m not good with computers so keep it simple if you got an answer.

I found that HijackThis works fairly well. Install that and copy/paste the log file on www.hijackthis.de It will tell you which registry keys are nasties and will let you delete them. Just be careful and make a backup (HijackThis will prompt you for this) before you delete.
